Wed/Thurs March 6th and 7th

Friday, March 7, 2014

On Wednesday, Katie and I just did some shopping to get some things we needed. Nothing exciting all day that's for sure!

On Thursday we had made arrangement to meet Erika and the girls at the Pharmacy at noon. Erika dropped them off, and we took them for lunch a few doors down at the bakery. It was hamburgers and fries all around. We chose to leave off the avocado and were going to leave off the ham but the waiter told us it was American ham and that it was very good, and really seemed to want us to have it, so we said ok. The hamburger...guess that's the reason this restaurant thinks it has to put ham on it...was very good, and we told the waiter he did a good thing talking us into it.

The girls and us even got serenaded at the table. The man had a very good voice, and did Walk the line by Johnny Cash and Wasted Days and Wasted Nights by Freddie Fender

Katie came up with the brilliant idea of the girls getting their nails done, so off we went...

After that we walked around and went into several stores looking at all the goods. Karelly and Livy kept pointing and saying the words in Spanish and I would repeat them and they would laugh and laugh.

We went back to the pharmacy at 4 o'clock as that is what time we were told that Mom would be back. Sure enough at 4 there she was. The girls are back in school next week so we will try and see them in the afternoon without having to take them out too early. We got the pharmacist to ask mom about the house hunting progress, and Erika said she was too embarrassed to take any money from us. We protested vigorously, and she agreed. She apparently looked at one, but it was too
far from school, there are no school buses here, the kids have to walk.

And so ended another great day with our girls!

to be continued....

After we got home, Katie and I jumped in the golf cart and went to feed the goats. Katie is using her juicer, so has left over veggie ends and pulp. Soon as we pulled up they were over to the fence. They stick their snouts right into the metal fence and you can feed them.

and so ends another great day in the valley...
